The Story Behind Danish Virtual School
Founded in 2020 to solve a very specific problem: mobile families whose children lose academic continuity every time the family moves.
Born from a real problem
Danish Virtual School was founded in 2020 in response to a gap that no existing institution was filling: mobile families — diplomats, aid workers, overseas professionals and globally relocating households — whose children were losing academic years to transfer waitlists, curriculum mismatches and assessment reschedules.
Tutoring was not enough. Pre-recorded video platforms were not enough. What these children needed was a real school with real teachers, a real timetable, and a real academic record that would follow them wherever the family went next.
DVS was built to be exactly that: a structured institution operating fully online, with the same rigour, accountability and relationships you would expect of a traditional school — minus the physical building.
Growth Timeline
DVS Founded
First cohort of 12 students enrolled across 4 countries. Core team of 6 subject teachers. O Level stream launched.
Matriculation Stream Added
Pakistani SSC / Matric programme launched alongside the O Level track. Student body grew to 60+ across 9 countries.
Parent Portal Launched
Full digital parent dashboard deployed. Real-time attendance, grades and invoicing available to all enrolled families.
Early Years Programme
Nursery and KG structured programme introduced. Student community now spans 20+ countries across 5 continents.
Growing Every Term
DVS continues to grow each term. Admissions are open year-round for families relocating mid-year.
